Punjab started their innings brilliantly with openers KL Rahul and Mayank Agarwal, adding 57 runs for the first wicket. Mayank Agarwal went for gritty 26 runs but on the other hand, KL Rahul remained in his rhythm. The middle-order was not in the good frame as Nicholas Pooran and Glenn Maxwell didn't score much and got out to Shivam Dubey.
